I remember; I can't forget.
My dreams last night were of 80's toys… Glamour Girls and Dazzle dolls, Sea Wees, Huggabunch and Charmkins. I remember how each of them looked, what they wore (like pink leather pants and a black/sliver glitter cowboy shirt w/ pink fringe) and even what names I gave them… Joni, Kimberly, Laurie, Michelle, Rececca, Crystal, Millicent… etc.
The Glamour Gals had a cruise ship. I recall the details of every room, but the things I remember most about the Ocean Queen are the lime green bed, heart shaped swimming pool and bar of gold in the safe lol. I had their showcase too which was storage slots for all the dolls and had a revolving door on it. The Dazzle dolls were virtually identical to them, but made by Mattel instead of Kenner.
Sea Wees were mermaids with pretty coloured hair and mer-babies. They were one of my fave tub toys ;) Huggabunch dolls had huge heads, rosy cheeks, brightly coloured curly hair, shiny clothes and came with babies. Charmkins were little scented figurines that could be warm as jewelry and their dwellings (I had the windmill) were also jewelry boxes.
This morning I did web searches on them and found a few pictures and limited history on them all. If I didn't blow my money on hair, clothes, cds, and makeup I would be a serious collector of these toys. They are pretty difficult to find though :( and some of the collectors are a bit anal, heh.
Maybe it is an indication that some part of me misses those innocent simple times when every day was fun. Does anyone remember these toys? Or my all time favourite (and no longer available) Kool-Aid flavour “Sunshine Punch”? Ack, I am a product of the eighties.
La la la connect the dots
Here I am at home on a friday night, actually muchly enjoying my alone time and being able stay up late fouing around without having to worry about functioning at work the morning after. I took a nice long nap and now it's just about time to torture my Sims again. Muhahaha!
I was just checking out my beauty marks or birth marks, if you prefer. I have one in the same spot as Elizabeth Taylor. I darken it in even more sometimes. Does anyone else do that with theirs? Or maybe just dot on a falsie ala Marilyn/Madonna? Yes, I was playing with makeup tonite as well lol. I made a coupla new icons too. Yay rah! I think I will go to Boyfriend's tomorrow though for another night on my own would cause the novelty to wear off.

My entries are trite and *yawn* boring when I have nothing tragic going on. Sorry lol.
I do have an “announcement” of sorts though tee-hee… I am having my extensions removed next weekend and getting Redlights. I'll miss my long hair, but with warmer weather coming soon, I'm afraid I'll suffocate under all this. The hair is still in fair condition, but it really could stand to be replaced anyway so this is probably the best choice for now. I think I actually have one photoshoot before they go buh bye, so that'll be nice.
Oh, last night I spent a lil quality (though that assessment is debatable) naked time on cam. Somehow one of my images wound up in the Camwhores Hall Of Fame *snickers* (although it was one I didn't think was all that hot) and I was flooded with IM's. Imagine that, heh. One of them in particular was a complete jackass, but the rest were actually really nice and welcomed me to the portal. Vote for me (ahem, be prepared for “adult content” before clicking) if you're so inclined (I've been using that phrase a lot lately, hmmm). All in all, I had a good time with it, and that's what's most important to me.
I don't really have plans for tonite. Boyfriend is having his lil girl spend the night. I am welcome to stay as well, but I know special alone time together is good for them too once in awhile. So… what is there to do on a Friday night when all your pals are otherwise occupied and you are not a single barfly anymore, what is there to do? Hrm…

*cheers* My new cam site is up and running. I think I am really happy with it! (Cyn, I don't think there's really anything to tweak, but let me sleep on it just in case.) And I submitted to the wanna be camwhores portal, so we'll see what happens with that. I hope it's not a choice I'll come to regret *crosses fingers*
I did V-Day stuff with Boyfriend last night due to our schedules. We had Italian. he got some pesto pasta creation that I swear had nuts in it. It was good. I snuck a bite. I had calamari, a long time fave of mine. Then we went home and played the Antique Roadshow game lol. AND *whispers* we took a bath together, which was soooo romantic ;)
It's a cold day here today. I need to warm up with coffee and tackle some real work now. More later…. hopefully tonite… oooh I think it's the season finale of TI2…

I didn't get a chance to do much of anything last night because my phone was ringing off the muthafookin hook! I worked on the finishing touches to my new cam site layout while taking the calls about the news that had traveled so fast…. BTE won't be doing Wednesdays @ M&J anymore. The club owner can't afford them on a slow week night.
They used to do Fridays there though so he suggested going back to that. Unfortunately, the reason they stopped doing the Friday shows in the first place was because the bass player bought his own bar and they moved it there instead, which means they won't be willing to move it back. *sigh* It's been a rough ride with that band within the last year or so and Boyfriend has pretty much had it. Mucho inner drama:
Bass player moves ultra successful gig to his joint making all sorts of promises, can't follow through on promises so tells Boyfriend they can get along without lead geetar/steel for the Friday house gig and Boyfriend will only be playing any others they happen to book, bass player quits, bass player rejoins, Boyfriend quits, Boyfriend rejoins for Wednesday house gig, Wednesdays go away, Boyfriend walks away again.
Although it IS sad, I'm proud of him. He has 3 other working bands to occupy him. They haven't caused even a fraction of the problems BTE has when you combine them!
Tonite I absolutely HAVE to do laundry, so don't call mah azz wanting to gossip ;)~ It is what it is- OVER!

Lennon threw a temper tantrum last night at her gig [because the bar wouldn't let in any minors], packed up all her shit and left without playing a note. *grumbles* I wasted money and time. Surely no one lead her to believe she was playing an all-ages club. What the hell was she thinking? The display of rockstar-itis left a sour taste in my mouth. If it had been a venue in another part of town it might not have been such an issue, but in this artsy/bar district the piggies check the hot spots regularly, like clockwork. The law is the law and it's a hefty fine (or worse yet possible shut-down) for that sort of infraction. This venue is virtually the last of it's kind in the neighborhood… that has live bands regularly instead of the others crap ass hip-hop dj dance nights and the sports bars.
So I arrived home much earlier than intended and played live on cam for a bit. I will go live tonite for shits and giggles and post here when I do so ya'll can catch me or something ;)

This & That
I had a “nice” weekend, thanks for asking ;)
It wasn't necessarily eventful, but still special all the same. I spent my Friday rocking out to the Rastabilly Rebels practice. I never thought I'd find myself actually enjoying a Led Zepplin cover, but, um, well… yeah I did *hides*. I toyed with The Sims for awhile and managed to burn down their kitchen, make them wet themselves and faint, lose a job, and get into a fist fight. Heh, sorry Simmies.
Saturday I shelled out a lil too much for a lady luck themed dress @ Hot Topic (*shrugs* I like HT, sfw). The pattern gave me a new journal idea. Yay! I also went for the black slingbacks with a bow @ the open toe and replaced my rhinestone kitty collar. Then it was to the MAC counter where I picked up some matte foundation (I'm an NC15 if you're curious for some odd reason and had been using the satin formula during winter), Parfait Amour eyeshadow (it's a deep purple frost), and two Lacquers (Haute Voltage- purple, and Heat- orange). The artist had a pretty snazzy Marilyn piercing. *contemplates another hole in my flesh*
That evening boyfriend had a rockabilly gig which proved to be snore city. Sunday was a fun day hangin' with his little girl. A Target excursion got out of control when I purchased undies, socks, two dresses and a few tees. Ooops! Thrifting was a success though. I found the sndtrk to one of my all time fave films, Rush.
Lennon is playing tonite at a club about a block or two from my apt!!! I haven't listened to any other cd since picking up hers about a week ago. If I can squeeze in an evening nap, I am so there, although I have accomplished ZER0 of what I put on my things to do list last week. Lol, gah.
P.S. I don't like Mondays.
