Based on my physical appearance [and possibly my independent personality], people often assume I am a Domme. I used to get kick out of that. Sure, I was aggressive in the pursuit of male sexual partners (however, not females, but that is an entirely different issue). But in the sex act itself, I was submissive – behind closed doors (and *only* there) I liked to be explicitly told what to do, how to do it, talked *at* degradingly, have all my holes “used” for the purpose of physical pleasure, shown off/displayed, shared, handled roughly, etc.
Sex has always been more mental than physical for me anyway. I’ve always believed that the “best” subs (and I sort of snort at that description, but can’t come up with another) are such because they understand their choices and the science of them. Likewise, I feel that is part of what makes them appropriate for a particular Master and vice versa – that innate comprehension of the entirety of their roles and how they mesh. In a way, one could argue that pledging yourself to submission is actually a dominant act because it is exercising your Free Will, even if that decision is to give it up/hand the reins to someone else. That’s a fair assessment, but whether the choice to do so is so major that it overrides anything else the Lifestyle itself encompasses makes for an interesting debate. let’s save it for another time.

I reasoned that my submissiveness was because I was so in control of my own life that it was necessary to kick back and lose control. (Well, also since reverence and compliments in general make me uncomfortable. I don’t trust the motivations for it and doubt the sincerity of it.)
It follows that as my circumstances have changed, so have my preferences…. It seems I get enough abuse at work, that I no longer want/need it in my personal life :P Yes, my job has altered my personality that much! I miss the person I was, but I’m stuck here, so I have to adapt.
Now, I find my tendencies and fantasies are more geared towards me being the Dominant figure. Re-designed
Okay, here it is – the new layout for TousledElegance.net! I’m periodically adding, subtracting and shifting around things until I find my happy medium… nothing drastic; I wouldn’t have put it up at all yet if it were in a state I absolutely couldn’t live with.
So, what’s new?
~ Since I’m not necessarily blogging on a daily basis, I’ve programmed my Twitter Updates to post here and on Livejournal. You’ll at least know I am alive and what I’m up to that way. Sorry if that is annoying to you, but *I* like reading people’s tweets. Things said on the fly like that can give insight into someone’s real personality, not just their internet persona.
~ I updated my contact information. You’ll notice I am not using instant messengers anymore, however, I do read and respond to email. I chat predominately on Rude and occasionally on Camwhores.

~ I’m making an effort to update my webcam more often (ideally, 2 – 3 times a week).

Future Tuber In Training
I probably should not take on yet another project when I am still [trying to] work on the new layout for my website, but I am so excited by the idea that I simply cannot wait.
I have wanted to put some videos on You Tube for a while, but…
not vlogs because:
1) most of them just aren’t engaging to me
2) I would be adding them so rarely – only when something monumental happens
not makeup tutorials because:
1) there are assloads of them already
2) I found a ‘go to’ look that works for me – seems silly to post several variations of the same basic routine
Everyone has something at which they are exceedingly good or about which they are quite knowledgeable, so in the spirit of “write what you know,” I am going to, erm, record what I know. I’m starting to outline it on paper now. The passion I have for the subject matter is infinitely helpful. And this time, it doesn’t involve nudity. Ha!

I think even those of us that are vigilant about complying with the law have to be afraid now. Is your text obscene? Project Peephole
As much as I might tease him and feign annoyance, I love when my Man gets all into a project. Last night it was one for me! (Of course, it was without getting my input, which kind of bugged me, but I know his intentions were good, sooo… * shrug *) I run a couple of Voyeur Cams on Rude [NOT WORK SAFE!] and like to have a variety of scenery, so he drilled a small hole from the main floor livingroom into the bar in the basement and ran a usb extender cable through so I can have a live feed upstairs AND downstairs simultaneously.
I also have a laptop for even more mobility, but I am still a little bit limited by the fact that you cannot run multiple instances of the broadcast software. (In other words, I can’t plug in a couple of cams in my computer room on the third floor and plug in a couple on my laptop on another level and stream them all at once.) We have 2800 square feet to work with, so more extension cables isn’t going to get far enough to cover all the areas I would ideally like to monitor. But, it was so nice of him to think of solutions and alternatives for me and make them happen without me asking for help.
I’m having a ball with this. I can’t wait until warmer weather so I can spend even more time sitting around naked, haha :D
