Hello Anatascia,

I know that strangers on the `net aren't usually warm or understanding, but I wanted to offer you my heartfelt condolences on your loss. I hope you get to spend a lot of quality time with your family this holiday season and that you get some additional time with friends I.R.L. to comfort you.

Hi Anastacia,

If you're serious about getting into the biz (of film restoration :-) I'd recommend taking a trip out to my side of the country in June or July of next year. I'm a very frequent attendee of a yearly 3-4 day event called the San Francisco Silent Film Festival.

A number of of film preservationists and companies attend and present their work here, so you'd have more than a few people to meet up with and do some networking.

Here's a couple relevant pages to peek at:

http://www.silentfilm.org
http://www.silentfilm.org/about-preservation.php
http://sfsilentfilmfestival.blogspot.com

And one last thing... plenty of attendees wear awesome 20's costumes. I can totally imagine you gussied up like a gorgeous flapper.

Anyways, I hope you appreciate the suggestions!

At least you write, my blog tends to be a mainly visual diary and I struggle to find words to string together. I think you may over analyse, but perhaps that is what drives you to write. Maybe I should analyse a bit more, that would help me to write :)

I have never been a fan of wide open spaces, but I do have to say I always sleep with the blanket covering My head. Mine is due to a need for absolute darkness as I sleep. I cannot stand any light hitting Me.

First, I wanted to apologize for being away so long, moving across the country and then to a new one throws one's life into a maelstrom to be sure.

Secondly, I truly love the look of the site.

Lastly, having worked in Customer Service all of my adult life, I feel your pain and if the little cock-sticks are so impatient as to be rude, I say give what you receive.

I have large chunks of this, but not others.

Algebra is Greek to me, which is odd because I speak Greek. Why do numbers have to mean numbers, why can't you just put the numbers there?

I have no spatial proportion. You know those questions on IQ tests that ask you to pick which picture looks like the one above if you turned it 180 degrees? I cry when I see them.

Time passing, well mine is actually a <a>phobia</a> so maybe that doesn't count? My apologies if the HTML screws the pooch there.

I suppose I am glad that you know that you have this. It must be a great burden removed to know that it is not just an overall lack, but a specific condition.

Adieu.
